I just completed another swap over at MAS, it was a Vintage Purse Swap. We had to alter a purse from Michael's and add 10 items. We had to use the a dusty mauve color, so I decided to use one of my favorite paper collections from K and Company, Madeline by Brenda Walton. I've discovered this collection a couple of years ago and I've purchased the 12 X 12 and 8 X 8 paper pads. I decided to stop hoarding this paper and thought it was perfect for this project.

Here is the front of the purse, sorry for glare but I had to use my flash, I need to remember that I have to take pictures during the day. I painted the purse in a dusty mauve and use the folkart crackle medium and I then covered it with a vintage white color also from folkart. I then covered the front and back with paper and mod podge. The flowers are from IAR and I colored them with gimmer mist.

Here is the inside of the box, I covered the inside with paper, flatback pearls, and some flower trim. I then purchased a lettler from Michael's and painted it pink and distressed the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink. The wooden ticket is from Prima's Tea Thyme collection.

Here are the 10 additional items I altered using the same paper collection. Sorry again for the glare from the bags but I packaged them as I made them. I made flowers, a tag, a post it note holder, a chipboard butterfly, and stick pins. I altered a mini composition book, small canvas, chalkboard, and oversized clothes pin. I really enjoyed altering all these items and this swap really challenged me since I had never altered a purse before. I hope my swap partner like it. Thanks for looking and please leave a comment.

G45 Ladies Diary Tag Swap

I joined a tag swap over on LSB and we had to use the Ladies Diary paper collection from Graphic 45. This paper collection is just so pretty, I love the colors. I had a hard time getting started but once I came up with my idea I really enjoyed putting these together. The stamps on the tag are from the paper collection. I used a gardenia from I Am Roses and colored them using Glimmer Mist and Distress Ink. Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment.

Tags

I participated in Velma Griffin's tag swap over at her blog Creatively Outta Control, it was recently changed from a montly swap to a bi-monthly swap. The requirements of this swap had also changed from an image swap to a swap where we need to use at least 4 types of embellishments.

I didn't realize how much of a challenge this was going to be for me until I started decorating my tags. But I just kept going and I was actually pleased with the way these tags came out. I used scalloped circle punches to make some of the flowers and those were really time consuming. Here are some pictures of my completed project. I hope whoever receives them really likes them. Take a look and please leave a comment.

Thanks for looking!!

Hilda

I used the Retro Flower punch to make these flowers.

I used Scalloped punches to make these flowers and I just loved the way these turned out.

My Garden Coin Envelope Mini

I was recently in a Coin Envelope Mini Album swap over at Mini Album Scraps, it was a one on one swap so I had to make a mini for my partner. The theme was My Garden, so after talking with my partner Jennifer, I decided that Lavender Chateau by DCWV would be the paper that I would use for my mini. I just loved the colors of this paper, the lavender, brown, green, and purple colors were just beautiful. These papers also have alot of glitter on them which made them much prettier. So here are a couple of pictures of the mini that I created. I hope you like them and please leave a comment.

Thanks and have a great day!!!

A Get Well Tag

It's been a long time since I last posted on this blog, so I thought I would post these pictures of a tag that I made for a tag swap that I participate in. As part of July's tag swap we were asked to create a special tag for one of the frequent swappers, so here is what I came with. I saw a video on You Tube, below is the link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IhbL4Iqedo&feature=plcp

This video was truly the inspiration for the tag that I made and I hope Deborah likes it.

This is how the tag looks all put together

Here is the tag with the sentiment taken out of it, it could be re-used for a gift card or it can be given to someone else.

This is the back of the tag and the back of the sentiment. I added an envelope to the back of the tag to add my personal information. I also added used a stamp with a nice saying on the back of what I am calling the sentiment.

Well that's it for today, I hope you enjoyed the pictures, please leave a comment.

Thanks!

Flower Swap

So I've been working on a couple of swaps that I joined over at Mini Album Swaps and I've been having a hard time making the flowers for the flower swap that I joined. Here are a few of the samples that I tried creating. I have to admit this swap was pretty hard for me to do, I still have to decide on the last flower.

These two are definitely included in the swap:

These flowers are ones that I made but I am still undecided if they will be included in the swap or not:

That's it for now, I will post pics of other crafting I've done. Thanks for looking and please leave a comment.

Baby Book

I made a baby book for my friend who is expecting a little boy in December. I used the Bo Bunny word album, the paper collection I used is Animal Antics by First Edition Paper. I made a lion, bear and dog using punches to embellish this book. I also used my nestibilities to create mats for pictures. Here are some pictures of my finished project. I hope you like it!! Please leave a comment.
