I just completed another swap over at MAS, it was a Vintage Purse Swap. We had to alter a purse from Michael's and add 10 items. We had to use the a dusty mauve color, so I decided to use one of my favorite paper collections from K and Company, Madeline by Brenda Walton. I've discovered this collection a couple of years ago and I've purchased the 12 X 12 and 8 X 8 paper pads. I decided to stop hoarding this paper and thought it was perfect for this project.

Here is the front of the purse, sorry for glare but I had to use my flash, I need to remember that I have to take pictures during the day. I painted the purse in a dusty mauve and use the folkart crackle medium and I then covered it with a vintage white color also from folkart. I then covered the front and back with paper and mod podge. The flowers are from IAR and I colored them with gimmer mist.

Here is the inside of the box, I covered the inside with paper, flatback pearls, and some flower trim. I then purchased a lettler from Michael's and painted it pink and distressed the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink. The wooden ticket is from Prima's Tea Thyme collection.

Here are the 10 additional items I altered using the same paper collection. Sorry again for the glare from the bags but I packaged them as I made them. I made flowers, a tag, a post it note holder, a chipboard butterfly, and stick pins. I altered a mini composition book, small canvas, chalkboard, and oversized clothes pin. I really enjoyed altering all these items and this swap really challenged me since I had never altered a purse before. I hope my swap partner like it. Thanks for looking and please leave a comment.
